June 22nd 2001. The first time the world saw Dominic Toretto and Bryan O'conner flying down the streets of California. June 22nd 2001. The start of the BIGGEST franchise in HISTORY. EVER. June 22nd 2001. The start of a family. June 22nd 2001. The change of the street race scene as we knew it.

It comes as no surprise that even now, fifteen years later, Fast and The furious is still the biggest franchise with millions of followers all over the world. Even the tragic death of Paul Walker in 2013 couldn't stop this team, or better referred to as "family", as they go on to make Fast and the Furious 8.

In tribute to the 15th anniversary of the franchise the first Fast and the Furious movie was shown in select theaters all over the world. In addition to the movie many car shows were also arranged, most being in the parking lot of the cinemas!!! So as you can imagine my "family" and I got our butts up and drove into Mesquite in the middle of Dallas rush hour traffic. Which as you can also imagine, was absolutely no fun what so ever. But we all (mostly) managed to get there with no trouble (except shmitty who got a little booty tap by an SUV but no fear the car is fine). So here are a few pictures from the meets.
