"Its not a phase, Its my life. Its not a hobby, Its my passion. Its not for everyone, Its for m

Just over a year ago April 21st 2015 I bought my dream car. 2015 Subaru WRX.

You're probably wondering why that car? Of all the cars I could've gotten why was getting a Subaru such a big deal to me? Well to answer that I must delve deep into my past.

Until I was ten years old I lived in a town called Derbyshire England. Yep England. Now while I was there my parents were a HUGE deal in the Motorsport world. More specifically rallying. Now if you know anything about rallying (dear Americans don't correct me yes its rallying, no its not rally racing sorry.) you know its a big deal in Europe, while America does have some rallies they are no comparison. For as long as I can remember I was helping my dad in the garage building our absolutely gorgeous Ford Escort RS2000, coincidentally (or not) enough the exact same car Roger Albert Clark used to rally while he was still alive. So it wasn't actually a coincidence that we had this car. Roger Albert Clark is a legend in the rallying world, being the first ever Brit to win a world rally championship in 1976. Along with some friends my dad started the Roger Albert Clark Rally (RAC Rally), in order to take the rallying world back to its roots taking on the "historic" rallying rules, this rally has slowly become one of the number one rallies in the UK. For years I attended the stages with my parents meeting people that, at the time, didn't seem to important to be meeting, however now I know better. While on these stages I got close to people like Stig Blonquist, Mark and David Higgins, Jimmy Mccrae and many many more big names. But a big inspiration to me was Mark Higgins, who many now know for smashing his previous record in a modded 2016 Sti at Ilse of man. I however know him from watching him FLY through our stages in a Subaru, and hence my obsession began. I think I always loved the way they looked and then as I grew up I began to love the way they worked, what they stood for, and the potential these cars have. So April 2015 I sold my 1970 Karmann Ghia and drove the 2015 WRX (aka. blubaru, scubie, subae, subie, or sapphire)off the lot.

Now over a year later and I have done things to this car I NEVER thought I would do. I never could've imagined that in my wildest dream this would be the route I would take with the blubaru.

First thing I did to this car was only a couple of weeks ago actually. I plasti dipped all my emblems lime green, yes you heard me right, lime green. We were all super sceptical at first, I honestly thought, along with my friends, there was no way this would look good. but it did. Why green though? I have no clue, I think part of it may have been I really liked how it looked on the 2016 prospective model and kind of went from there. Now on the exact same day I did my emblems I also got an accessport, I wont go into much detail now simply because that deserves its own post but you should know that its simply amazing and the best decision I have made so far. (I also plastidip my side skirts but you cant really tell it just looks easier on the eyes so its not worth talking about

The next thing I did was just yesterday. Lime green calipers. Now this was a long process mainly because our ac guys were using the garage all morning, but also because me an Hollyann couldn't find a good jacking point on my car. So it may have taken us an hour or two just to do one wheel, but then smart little Erik came along and the rest got done much faster. So it was actually pretty easy we just jacked the car up and then put it on stands, took the wheel off, taped all around the brake calipers, spray painted (with engine paint), waited for it to dry, and then put the wheels back on. Then this morning I drove around the neighborhood to make sure the engine paint was enough and wasn't going to bubble off and just heated up the brakes to make the acrylic mold to the calipers and everything turned out perfectly!!!!!!

ps. special thanks to everyone who has helped me with these projects.
